Pokhara serves as a
springboard for this trek in the middle hills. A
relatively easy trek it provides a close insight into
the lives of the local people. Green terraced fields,
luxuriant forests, alpine meadows, amazing mountain
scencery and stories steeped in mysticism will keep you
company though out the trek in this region. A truly off
the regular tourist hub, the route passes though
different remote village and gives you a taste of the
ethnic diversity of this Himalayan nation. The remote
village of Panchase boasts of a majestic panorama
Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. The village is also
popular among the locals as a pilgrimage and it draws a
huge number of devotees who come to pay their respects
to their ancestors’ souls or worship their mountain gods
here. Near Panchase there is a pond, which is so clear,
that it is believed that even birds pluck out the leaves
if they fall in the pond.
