Aptly named “Royal
trek” after Prices Charles of Wales walked these middle
hills east of Pokhara, this is a great way to discover
Nepal. Another renowned celebrity, Mick Jagger of the
Rolling Stones, has followed in the famous footsteps of
royalty. A short and easy trek it is recommended to all
age groups especially for beginners. The trail keeps to
lower altitudes and warmer climes and snakes through
terraced rice fields and sleepy hamlets. The trek
presents great views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu
and Lamjung and also a close insight into the way of
life of the Gurung tribe well known for their valour.
After a short but endearing trek plunge yourself in the
raging waters of the Trisuli for an adrenaline pumping
ride and raft down to Chitwan National Park once popular
among the royals for game hunting, now one of the best
preserved national parks of the Asia. Here immerse
yourself in wildlife viewing and ‘shoot’ tigers and
rhinos on elephant back with your cameras.
