Helambu trek begins
from Sundarijal or Melamchi Pul, the area offers great
views of the majestic Himalayas from Mt. Annapurna to
Everest with a range of cultures. The people of Helambu
with their religion and monasteries show rich Buddhist
culture. At lower elevations along the edges of the
park, other mid hill tribes and castes reside including
Bramins, Chhetries, Newars and some Gurung. The walk
leads to cool forest of rhododendron with time to admire
its beauty and passing through charming villages of
Melamche, Tarkyegang and Shermathang before coming to an
end of this beautiful trek at the road head for the
drive to Kathmandu.
Our Helambu experience begins from Sundarijal or Melamchi Pul, an area that offers great views of the majestic Himalayas from Mt. Annapurna to Everest. The Helambu is a Buddhist bastion which is evident everywhere from the colourful prayer flags to the white chortens to the beautiful monasteries that showcase the rich Buddhist culture of the region. The trek is a wonderful cultural experience providing a window to the diverse culture of the people who inhabit this area. At lower elevations along the edges of the park, other mid hill tribes and castes reside including Bramins, Chhetries, Newars and Gurungs. We pass through rich rhododendron forests and rustic settlements that dot the trail. We pass through charming villages of Melamche, Tarkyegang and Shermathang before ending our beautiful trek at the road head from where we catch our awaiting vehicle to Kathmandu.
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.
Day 02: Tour in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu /Lukla and begin Trek.
Day 04-17: On Trek.
Day18: Fly Lukla / Kathmandu.
Day 20: International Departure..
