The trek around the Kathmandu valley is an ideal adventure for beginners and families who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu and soak themselves in tranquility of the serene forests and incredible scenery. A visit to the villages that surround the valley is a walk back into time where time seems to have stopped still. A peel into the rural life is an otherworldly experience. The timelessness of the villages and life that has remained for centuries make it an amazing experience. Our nice quiet trek starts with a short drive to Kakani, a village perched on a ridge north west of Kathmandu. We walk along ridgelines on the Kathmandu Valley rim and enjoy superb views of the surrounding landscapes and snow capped giants from Mt. Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh to Langtang. The final days of this wonderful journey ends at Nagarkot a beautiful hill station popular among tourists and Kathmanduites alike. Perched on a hill this place is famed for its sunrise and sunset and boars and array of snow peaks from Annapurna to Everest range that stretch from in the east to the west. |
