Easily accessible and closest region to Kathmandu the Langtang region is a treasure trove of natural wonders waiting to be explored. This trek is a perfect combination of moderate trekking coupled with amazing scenery. The trails snakes through small hamlets to the high alpine valleys set amidst the backdrop of high snow capped peaks. During spring this place is alive with colourful wild flowers. We pass by the shimmering Gosainkund Lake and cross Laurabina Pass adjoining the Gosainkund and Helambu regions. As we go higher up the terrain transforms to arid alpine pastures with no settlements except for shed for cattle herders. We descend steep mountain trails towards the last overnight camp at Chisopani near the Kathmandu valley rim, a remarkable spot that provides a beautiful scenery of the valleys in the back drop of snow capped peaks.
