The trek offers a varied experience in terms of landscape, people, culture and adventure. Our walk follows interesting landscapes, different rural and traditional villages from the low lying Hindu dominated areas to the high Buddhist Sherpa villages. We begin this scenic trip with a drive close to the Tibet border at Barabise Bazar. From here we take a short walk uphill to our first overnight camp and continue through farms, terraced fields and villages and past the 3,000 meters Tingsingla pass. As we gain altitude we get well acclimatized in this environment as we head towards our destination on the high valleys and finally to the remote ice field. Sleepy hamlets, beautiful mountains, farmsteads and lush green forests give this trek a distinctive flavour.
