Located in far eastern corner of Nepal Milke Danda is flower country. Blessed with superb views of Mt. Kanchejunga, world’s third highest peak and the Khumburkarna range, including Mt. Makalu and all the way to Mt. Everest, the area is indeed a trekker’s paradise. Less frequented by westerners, the area is unspoiled and untouched. The region is densely vegetated with rare alpine flora and the beautiful rhododendron forests. During spring and summer the area is a riot of colours transforming the place into a multihued paradise. The trek follows passes small isolated farming villages set against the backdrop of some of the most impressive views of the mountains all the way to Milkedanda area. Our return journey will bring us to Tumlingtar, the major settlement in the area, passing through the fascinating village of Chainpur famous for its copper and brass handicraft. |
