Introduction:
This is an outstanding highland trip, more of a walking journey with time to immerse in the beautiful surrounding with time to explore villages and monasteries and to sample the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people in the comfort of the high altitude cozy hotels and resorts.

Adventure begins with a sweeping flight to Lukla, a popular destination, which provides a fascinating, contrast to the high mountainscapes as the flight approach nearer to our destination. With our flexible itinerary days one can walk slowly enjoying the lovely surrounding and its people. This wonderful trip ends to and from Lukla with a destination to the Shyangboche hill top for the outstanding views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Lhotse Shar, including the magnificent Mt. Ama Dablam, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwangde and the sacred peak of Khumbi-La.

An exciting trip that leads to the Sherpa capital Namche Bazaar, with time to acclimatize before heading higher elevation, after a wonderful time here, then following the quite trail to Shyangboche hill top with incredible view of Mt. Khangtiaga, Mt. Thamserku and the Nuptse - Lhotse wall with the  Mt. Everest rearing above. On reaching to the highland Resort at Namche Bazaar, the trek continues through the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung and Khunde and to the quiet area at Tashinga.

The high light of this trip hike to Thyangboche with excellent views of the magnificent Mt. Ama Dablam 6,900m and other great snow giant peaks, descent will take to Monjo village, before returning to Lukla. A scenic flight to Kathmandu concludes a spectacular walking journey to the roof of the world.

Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m.
Day 02: A day in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla 2,800m and trek to Phakding 2,630 m.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440m. Approx 5-6 hrs.
Day 05: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek to Tashinga 3,450m via Khunde nd Khumjung 4 hrs.
Day 07: Rest day for local hike to Thyangboche Monastery 3,867m
Day 08: Trek to Monjo 2,850m 4-5 hrs.
Day 09: Trek back to Lukla. Approx distance: 3-4 hours walk.
Day 10: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 11: In Kathmandu.
Day 12: Transfer to Airport for the International departure.
  Trip Extension:
Day 12-13: 2 days rafting at Trisuli River
Day 13-14: 2-3 days Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park.
Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 16: Depart Kathmandu for homeward bound.

Day 01:

Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m.

  On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport you will be received by our staff and transfer you to respective 5 star Hotel, where our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking, do's and don't and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.
   
Day 02: 

A day in Kathmandu.

  After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest. Sometime, depending upon your flight arrival if it’s late in the night we will do this tour in the afternoon instead of morning to give you a nice rest before you venture out of the Hotel in our interesting tour.
   
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla & trek to Phakding 2,652m.
  Approx: 35 minutes flight to Lukla 2,800m 9-10km (3hrs walk). Early morning you will be transferred from the Hotel to domestic Airport a short drive of 20-30 minutes, after the necessary security formalities board in the smaller twin otter or similar plane for the sweeping panoramic flight to Lukla, on arrival you will be received by our trekking guides. In Lukla you will have time to wander around, while the Sherpa crew sort and divide the load, lunch depending upon the time of arrival at Lukla either in Lukla or few walks further down on route to Phakding.
The walk is gradual most of the way, with few ups with view of Kusum-Kangru 6,369m crossing a short suspension bridge, a short climb brings to the Ghat village, and another 11/2hr of gradual walk brings you to Phakding village for the overnight stop near the bank of the Dudh-Kosi River.
   
Day 04:

Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440m approx. 5-6 hrs.

  From Phakding after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh-Kosi the walk is pleasant with few short uphill and downhill and re-crossing the same river again, with magnificent view of Thamserku 6,608m, then reaching a small village of Monjo after the last 20 minutes climb from the stream, after Monjo, comes to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, from here a short descend to the Jorsalle village, the last village till Namche Bazaar is reached, the walk is pleasant on the river bed till the last bridge over the Imjatse river is reached, from here the walk is along the winding uphill path all the way to Namche Bazaar, with magnificent view of Kwangde peak, Kusum Kangru Mt. Everest- Nuptse wall, Lhotse and the closer view of Tawache peak can be seen all the way up, from here another 1-2 hour walk up brings to the famed Namche Bazaar.
   
Day 05: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar.
  Suggested activities a short walk uphill to the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarter, a magnificent spot perched on top of Namche Bazaar with breathtaking view of the surrounding snow capped giants and the valleys way down, with an interesting museum with all kinds of information regarding the history of the Himalayas, geographic, culture, mountaineering history and existing information on flora and fauna of this region, afternoon at leisure.
   
Day 06:

Trek to Tashinga 3,450m via Khunde / Khumjung village 5-6 hrs.

  After Namche trace the route above the ridge of Namche towards Shyangboche following the trail to Khunde and Khumjung the largest of the Sherpa villages in the Khumbu area, trek leads towards the Shyangboche small airstrip, the walk is quite strenuous uphill due to high altitude overlooking the magnificent view of Mt. Kwangde, Thamserku and other neighboring peaks with an aerial view of Namche Bazaar down below. On reaching Shyangboche small airstrip, take a short climb towards the Khunde village situated in the same glacial valley as Khumjung village beneath the sacred Mt. Khumbila 5,761m. A quiet gentle path brings to the sleepy village of Khumjung via Khunde from here a gentle descend to overnight halt at Tashinga an isolated spot with a place of its own with excellent views of Thamserku, Kangtanga and Ama Dablam mountains.
   
Day 07:

At Tashinga for hike to Thyangboche 3,867m 4-5 hrs both ways.

  The walk is fairly easy for the first half, after a 20 minutes on the gradual trail   overlooking magnificent view of the great giant snow peaks from Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde-Ri peak the walk reaches at Phungitenga 3,250m, a small settlement with couple of teahouses and a small Nepal Army barrack serving as park wardens in the midst of the alpine woods of mostly silver fir blue pines, rhododendron and some few magnolia and birch trees. Walk from here is strenuous for an hour or two on the winding trail through the shade of woods till Thyangboche Monastery or Gompa, is reached for the lunch  stop, this beautiful spot offers views of the majestic beautiful peak Ama Dablam with Everest looming above the Nuptse wall in the north with Mt. Lhotse and Lhotse Shar towards north east.
   
Day 08:

Trek to Monjo 2,850 m. Approx: 5-6 hrs.

  Retrace the journey back to Shanasha, from Shanasha where the trail from Khumjung, Gokyo and to Namche meets. From here the route follows on the main busy path, the walk winds all the way to Namche Bazaar on the downhill and gradual path. On reaching Namche Bazaar retrace the journey all the way to Monjo for the overnight camp at Monjo, located just near the Sagarmatha National Park entrance and exit.
   
Day 09:

Trek to Lukla 5 hrs walk.

  Last day of this great trek will be one of the good walk to Lukla, you can walk at on your own normal pace, leisurely and enjoying the lush green scenery around.
Apart from few short uphill the only long climb will be just before Lukla which will take about 45 minutes from a place called Choplung or from the old big oak tree. On reaching Lukla, prepare for the last day great dinner and a party with the fellow Sherpa crew, porters and trekking members.
   
Day 10:

Fly Lukla-Kathmandu.

  The flight time to Kathmandu, are schedule for morning normally, because of the wind in the afternoon, sometime the flight time can be delayed due to bad weather and other reason. Depending upon the flight time this scenic flight from Lukla takes about 35 minutes to Kathmandu, a panoramic view of the snow capped peaks can be seen during the flight. At Kathmandu domestic terminal, our staff will receive and escort you back to the Hotel.
   
Day 11: 

Free day at leisure.

  A free day in Kathmandu, please inform our staff if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley.
   
Day 12:

Transfer to Airport for the International departure.

  Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
Trip Extension:
   
Day 12-13: 2 days rafting at Trisuli River.
  Morning three hours drive to Rafting “put in point” at Trisuli River meet our river guide and crew members and start 3 hrs rafting with lunch on the way this scenic float encounters white water rapids, bouncy waves and overnight stop at Riverside Resorts. Next morning float till lunch and drive to the low lands of Nepal and to the Jungle at Chitwan National Park for elephant safari and other jungle activities overnight at Jungle Lodge (3-4 star standards Hotel or Lodge)
   
Day 13-14: 2-3 days Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park.
  Full day Jungle activities with lunch and dinner break, the program include elephant safari, nature walks, elephant bathing, dug out canoe ride observing water birds and crocs on the shore.
   
Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu.
  Morning after breakfast depart the Lodge for a drive to Bharatpur Airport the flight takes less than half hour, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective Hotels.
   
Day 16: Depart Kathmandu for homeward bound.
  Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Himex Staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from Nepal.

 6.  Personal clothing and personal trekking gear including sleeping bag & down jacket.
 7.  Expenses of personal nature, i.e. tipping, laundry, bottled drinks, bar bills etc.
 8.  Any expense for early returning member due sickness, injury or any other reason. No refund will be entertained for any unused service.
 9.  Extra expense occurred due to unexpected circumstances like cancellation of internal flights, floods, strike etc.

If you are not tied up with time limitations, or have more time before or after your main trip with us, you can join / take following extension trips to make your holiday even interesting. According to extra time you have, you can choose a visit to National Parks for jungle safari viewing rare animals, migrant birds and exotic reptiles or enjoy the whitewater rafting or take a cultural tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nagarkot or even make a quick visit to neighboring countries of Tibet – Roof of the world, India – The country of wonders, Bhutan – The Dragon Kingdom. We can add these extensions before or after your holiday according to the flights that you have booked / can book. Beside these, if you even want just stay in Kathmandu for relax or any independent activities, we can book extra nights at the Hotel. You can book these extensions together with your main trip booking.
